Born and raised in Gulfport, Mississippi, Jarrett W. Davis discovered his passion for music and performing at an early age. Growing up in church, he spent much of his childhood on stage — whether participating in plays, singing in the choir, or taking on solo performances whenever the opportunity presented itself. His love for performing naturally carried over into school, where he actively participated in talent shows, theatrical productions, and choir throughout elementary and high school. These experiences helped shape not only his confidence as a performer, but also his understanding of how music and storytelling can emotionally connect with people.
Developing songwriting skills at a young age, Jarrett quickly learned how to turn personal emotions and real-life experiences into music. Writing from the heart became second nature to him, allowing his songs to feel honest, relatable, and emotionally driven. Known for his natural musical ear and creativity, Jarrett could hear a melody or instrumental and instantly begin building lyrics and choruses around it, a talent that continued to grow throughout the years.
His musical style is deeply rooted in gospel, musical theater, R&B, and pop, blending soulful emotion with cinematic storytelling and performance. Drawing inspiration from legendary artists such as Michael Jackson, Beyoncé, Chaka Khan, James Brown, Whitney Houston, Rick James, and many others, Jarrett developed an appreciation for artistry that extends beyond music alone. Influenced by powerful stage presence, vocal ability, visual storytelling, and emotional honesty, he approaches his craft with the goal of creating experiences that leave a lasting impression on listeners.
